My husband and his exgirlfriend are still friends they dated in high school which was about 8 years back. They still talk and she calls him once in awhile and talks with his family..., she tells me she is just his friend and wantsto be mine, but the only reason they broke up is because he went to boot camp. She is with a guy now, but can two people be over each other when the only reason they broke up is because of distance? Or do you think they still have feelings there? I think they do.....my husband doesn't tell me even when he talks with her.

She really isn't over him. If she was, then she wouldn't be calling so much. And it is especially troubling that she is still talking with his family. This is something you'll need to keep a close eye on. By the way you describe it, it's obvious that she isn't over him. But you didn't provide enough details to show that he is over her.

OH my goodness! Girl - YOUR husband has no business talking to this girl. I don't care if he can't stand her. And she...... she has no business calling - EVER, him or his family. His family is your family now, not hers. And when she calles again you have every right to tell her this is the last phone call she will ever make to your house. You can say it nicley of course. IM not trying to sound snotty here. But this really burns my bacon.

When you and your husband exchanged vows and promised to be faithful to one another for the rest of your lives. A part of that means letting go of the past and letting you two start your future together.

You husband is definatly keeping something from you if he doesn't even tell you when he talks to her. THAT'S BECAUSE HE KNOWS IT'S WRONG! But he can't stand to admit it.
IT'S WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!

You need to confront him about it. There really should be no arguement over it what-so-ever. You are the one he is in love with and trying to make happy, and if this bothers you so much, he shouldn't hesitate to drop an old friendship with someone at the expence of his wonderful bride!

I'd raise heck. In my opinion it's ok for a husband to have friends that are girls, but not exgirlfriends as good friends. My husband thought he was gonna pull that crap on me. I told him if you wanted to be best buddies then you never should have broke up in the first place. I just don't go for that kind of stuff. I think it's desrespectful. Especially, when they don't even tell you that they've spoke to the girl in the first place. That's just me.

I've been on the other side of this. I was the ex-gf in this kind of situation - the only thing that kept us apart was distance. My ex and I were best friends. But when he told me his new girlfriend, wife, whatever she is didn't know that we were still friends I was done. To me that's what this other woman should have done, she should have enough respect for you, even if she can't stand you to leave him alone. It sounds to me like they have some unresolved feelings for each other. To me if she really wants what's best for him she would walk away. Truth is she probably doesn't really want to be your friend, she just wants to fake it.

No, that girl is still wanting to be with the ex, however becoming friends will NOT be a good idea that is giving her a chance to find your weakness and take advantange. She is no friend of YOURS
that is why she is keeping up through his family his and your whereabouts PEEP GAME women are just a sneaky as men yet smarter

He really doesn't have any reason to talk to her because they don't have kids together so it's not unreasonably to ask that he stop if he doesn't want to then you can assume he is choosing her over your feelings on some level and can't be trusted. if it makes you uncomfortable you should ask him not to talk to her. After all isn't his past suppose to not mean anything when he decided to marry you i know it's not as easy as this sounds but iwould try to test him in this way and let it big a red flag if he doesn't respect u !

Nope, you don't get over each other because of distance. Distance was the only issue which means that all the other factors are intact. I agree with you they do have feelings for each other, old falmes have been relighted. Be careful honey, put your foot down.

it just all depends, i broke up with a guy because of the distance, i'm over him i miss him at times but i want him to be happy. I like to know about his new relationships i like to hear he is doing good. If i had to chance i would not be with him again that chapter is closed i just like to know he is doing well

wow....that's harsh....hmm....well,i would say that, yes, people do get over people...and no, people sometimes too don't get over people....so, why don't you just talk it out with your husband...or if you tried and he says that they're just friends, well, that's up to you to think on...rely on your woman's instinct, but be cautious since there are times that your instinct is being run over by jealousy, thereby, your not really thinking objectively, you know what i mean?

next is this,if you feel that your husband is lying, then talk it out with him again..confront him but pls do it in a 'wholesome' manner, not the 'airing your dirty laundry in public' kind....or it really depends on the level of trust between the two of you...do you trust him to tell you the truth?

3rd, just pray and pray and pray that everything is as they say,and that it's just you who's being out of this world over something that small...just wait it out...breathe..relax...

hope everything goes well..take care and God bless!:)
