Do you think they will plan another 9/11 type event so they can enact martial law and suspend the elections?
This administration has concentrated more power in the Executive branch than any other President, including Nixon. They've lied and cheated their way into war...and out of trouble. They've undermined Congressional oversight, checks and balances, and the separation of powers.
Why else would they be tearing down our democracy and setting precedents that open us up to fascism....unless they plan on staying in power indefinitely?

Roe - I don't get my information from Fox news....that's for sure. There's no need for me to go into any details with people who blindly follow their authority figure - I'll only be wasting my time. I'm looking for answers from people who take the initiative to find out what's really going on. You know, people with common sense who understand who had something to gain from 9/11....the same people who refuse to tell us the truth about what happened, and then proceeded to lie us into a war with Iraq.

Yes, Tina, I am currently doing something about the situation. Thanks for bringing that up - it's a good point. I wish more people would do something about it. Sitting around watching Fox News and chanting "Heil Bush" isn't working out for our country.

Sexy law chick - I checked out your question. The fact that you needed to ask people to help you win that argument says a lot about why your boyfriend is closer to the truth. See...he did some research that didn't involve Yahoo Answers. And the answer that you picked as best is wrong. There was plenty of financial gain from 9/11 for Bush, Cheney and their cronies. What makes you think they care about anyone else?

One more thing....for all you people who are so passionate in your support for this corrupt administration...why aren't you offering up something that might change my mind? No one has offered anything that proves what I've stated is wrong. And...just in case you haven't noticed...I didn't try to prove any conspiracy theories. I simply stated facts about where our government is heading - and pointed out that this administration benefited from 9/11. You let them take away your freedoms once...why wouldn't they do it again? Do you really think they've worked this hard (and broke several laws) just so they can walk away from it all in 2008?

Sexy law chick - I honestly didn't mean that to sound like an attack...it was just a response. It's hard to convey the tone when it's just written words. I'm very sorry that you took it that way.

You make an interesting point and I agree. I know what martial law is. When I was a young kid behind the wall, I had the chance to live through that experience. Believe me, the people of America have no idea how bad it can get. The comment about pulling Osama out of the closet is a viable one too. They might have a plan to keep Americans living in fear of the unknown and agree blindly to surrender any kind of control over their lives that they have now. V for Vendetta is an extreme example of this. Also, the book 1984 by George Orwell is a nice commentary of the state of affairs. If martial law is ever enacted, I do believe it would be by this administration. It would be the perfect reason to suspend elections. "Don't go into the streets cause the terrorists will get you." It's that kind of thinking that will keep people at home. Terrorism happens. Period. Whether it is done by people from the middle east or by the CIA, it really doesn't matter. It's about fear and control of the population. It's about giving up your rights( there aren't that many left anyway). Pretty soon, the only private place we will have left is inside our own heads. What do u think?

Those pesky terrorists keep trying to ruin George's Texas vacations. Damn them. How can we have freedom, freedom of speech, and freedom of the press, and still 9/11 truths get swept under the rug. Have some balls U.S. press. And all the liberal actors -- if they really said what they need to say "the Truth" then they would not get any more work. So they make a little noise and that's all. The masses listen to the talking box -- the TV. Now the talking box is the cell and the iPod so the public becomes less and less informed about what is really going on.

I would like you to take a moment to read a magazine. A magazine that is neither Republican or Democrat, nor does it have anything to do with politics. It is a magazine that sits in every garage in America, it's called Popular Mechanics. The editors took the time to research and debunk the conspiracy theories that surround the tragedy of 9/11. Take a moment to read and really get educated. Quit typing 9/11 conspiracy theories into google and pick up a book or a magazine. What a horrible event to use to political gain.

Have no idea, but they are preparing: Didn't make many front pages, or Fox, for sure.
2005
Recent developments suggest that the Bush administration may already be contemplating what to do with Americans who are deemed insufficiently loyal or who disseminate information that may be considered helpful to the enemy.
There also was another little-noticed item posted at the U.S. Army Web site, about the Pentagon’s Civilian Inmate Labor Program. This program “provides Army policy and guidance for establishing civilian inmate labor programs and civilian prison camps on Army installations.”
Plus, there was that curious development in January when the Army Corps of Engineers awarded Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg Brown & Root a $385 million contract to construct detention centers somewhere in the United States
The Army document, first drafted in 1997, underwent a “rapid action revision” on Jan. 14, 2005. The revision provides a “template for developing agreements” between the Army and corrections facilities for the use of civilian inmate labor on Army installations.
Stay Alert!

I certainly wouldn't put it past them. After all, anyone who looks at the Iraq war objectively can see that they're extending it beyond its usefulness in an attempt to grab more power, money, and votes. The recent capture of the terrorists in Great Britain made the security people look like heroes. Something similar could easily be staged here to give the Republicans a boost in the polls. I'll be very suspicious if anything like that happens between now and election day.
I don't believe that they were responsible for 9/11, but it was the best thing that ever happened to them politically. I can easily picture them staging something similarly dramatic but without the fatalities.

Your question, and the details surrounding it, sounds very much like "double-speak" ( the old WWII disinformation stuff ). What country are you talking about? These things that you say Dick and George have accomplished sounds like political talk.
When you say " Do you think they will plan ANOTHER 9/11" interprets as " They did arrange the 9/11 event". You have to know that that is not true, and if you are telling a falsehood about that, how can we believe anything else you are saying...that's "double-speak".

Another attack? I didn't know they planned the first one. At least Osama said it was his group that did it all. Was he lying? You really should stay away from those conspiracy web sites.*LOL* I even saw one that 'claimed' there was a bomb strapped under a wing. I think the pilots and ground grew would have noticed something like that on the walkaround.
And as far as the Fascism remark goes you wouldn't know what a fascist was if they slapped you. Why don't you use the dictionary before you use the word. We aren't even a democracy. We are a Democratic Republic.

No I think Al Gore is going to invent the new internet and prevent such an event from happening. Or maybe John Kerry will shot himself in the *** to draw headlines away from another looming defeat of the Dems!
You are a freaking idiot! If you believe that the U.S. would be in any better shape with the Dems in control then you are sadly mistaken! So take your welfare check and go back to the hood and keep your bitching there!
