I have good sight and I don't wear any powered lenses but would like to get some colored lenses, but not sure which color will suit me.
What is your advise on getting a suitable colored lenses. I have brown eyes, and I'm thinking of green and blueish grey?

I, personally, love colored lenses. I change my hair color often, I change my eye color often - I even change my style of clothes on a daily basis! I love changing and doing different things!

Now... as for you, it sounds like a gold color (more yellow, not brown) color would look totally awesome on ya. Little more than a subtle change but yet, not too drastic of a change, and make your eyes sparkle alot.
Of course, that's just my preference and my opinion - because unlike the above, I think black women with the blue eyes look totally wicked and I love it or the black men that go with gold.
And yes... I've worn purple/violet/lilac shades of contacts - despite it's not a natural eye color.

If you're going for the natural look and subtle change then, sure... go with the hazel or green. But if you're going bold - a sapphire blue (not the blue/gray) or violet would stand out. My vote is down the middle... not too subtle, not too bold, but just the right touch of boldness - gold or natural sunbursts pattern.

I did wear color contacts for awhile because my vision is horrible. I know that color lenses are a little thicker and because of that theyre a little more uncomfortable to wear, so make sure to clean them often. Also talk to your ophtometrist and see if they have any specialty colored contacts as I got mine about 10 years ago and they had that computer generated coloring that looked really fake.

Depends on the color of your skin. Go to the freshlook contact lense website. They do eye color matching and even give you a free trial pair certificate.

Not really, people are meant to have the color eyes that they have, and people that get colored lenses always want the color opposite of their current eye color! A little lighter or darker is fine, but if you are dark complected do you really think that it is cute or natural to have light blue eyes. It ends up looking ridiculous! And who has purple eyes, or any of those new cat eyes and decorated lenses? I love my beautiful brown eyes, and I wouldn't fake it with another color, and sweetness neither should you!

Well actually I wouldn't reccomend color contacts for you since you don't even need regular contacts... It's easy to get eye infections and things like that. But if your optometrist says its ok then I recommend dark green or gray. Hazel actually will probably look fake and creepy because I tried on hazel and have light brown eyes and they looked weird. But dark green and gray looked nice.

What is your skintone and hair color? That can help us answer you.

I like hazel eyes. It's a lighter brown with a gentle mix of green. Plus, that wouldn't be tooo drastic of a change for you. I think it could work!

I don't wear glasses but have several pair of different colored contacts. You just get them with "zero" power.
