Why don't you just make it easy on yourself and move to Cuba. You will get a nice old rusty Russian Lada, with a 45 Hp engine.

would that be enough for you to handle? or now do you want to limit personal wealth to one hundred thousand dollars?

Cuba is your land of opportunity.

First of all; No cars over 100HP? That would eliminate 3/4 of the cars on the road.
Second of all; NO. You don't have to ban a thing, just ban the inappropriate use of it (as in speed limits). By your logic, all vehicles should have governers installed that prohibit speeds above the legal limit.
Just because a small percentage of people will abuse something isn't a good enough reason to deny it to everyone. I for one do not need a "Nanny government" thank you very much.

OK an F350 with 100 HP.......Ya Right!
Learn what horsepower is and Buckle up, don't talk on you cell while driving or read the paper or shave of put on makeup or .....
or....Eat a bowl of cereal.
YOU DRIVE SAFE and do whatever you need to do to drive safe. I have 350 HP in my Pantera it doesn't kill me My driving maybe, sometimes. OK then I go to church in the Pantera and feel all better. People can speed and hit a phone pole with a Hyundai that'll kill ya real quick

All I can say is I would HATE to be stuck behind all those little cars trying to make it up hills. I think road rage and aggression would reach its peak. Your suggestion is ridiculous.

My mother had a Firefly (standard) which had next to no horsepower. every time I went up a hill I had to shift down a couple gears and was STILL slowing down.

Nope, I like my 200hp, thank you very much!

Do you even bother to think anything thoroughly through before voicing ridiculous, half baked, ill-informed opinions. It's not the CARS that are the problem....it's the attitude and mind-set of the drivers that has to change. In my grandfathers day they raced horses and buggys down main street. What's your answer for that?....ban horses, and just use PONEYS.

So then what? All Cars will be replaced with lawn mowers? You're gonna make millions of people that work at car companies lose their jobs! Would you want that?! Then these people will do crimes and start killing each other? But hey at your point, at least no one was killed in an vehicle accident, right?

I think it would be wiser to teach Americans how to use their turn signals, stops at stops signs and not change lanes like they are alone on the road... Did I mention driving the same speed in all available lanes creating congestion whenever?

well professor, if you make that law, people are only going to find ways around it, making itty bitty unsafe and insanely fast cars. while we're at it lets ban all firearms over .22 caliber to prevent terrorist attacks, and all computers over 5 gig, hackers might be using them. lets ban big mountains so inexperienced idiots dont ski on them and die. lets ban all hot pockets for safety reasons because people tend to burn the #)(* out of themselves with them.
