leave little hints around the house, like the JOBS section in the paper. mabye you could get a local business to offer him a job.

If you are of an age that YOU could go out and get a job, then you might consider getting one...he might just be "Shamed into it" by your example...HOWEVER< I would NOT rub his face in it...I would do so quietly, and rely on HIM to notice...if he does not respond appropriately, then at least you will be gaining valuable experience, and some funds which will allow you to move on as soon as possible.

you are the kid.. he is the parent.. it is not your job to tell your dad to get a job.. if you are old enough why dont you get a job.. some men (and some women) are lazy or he could be depressed.. either way you are not his parent.. so dont tell him to get a job because it will make him made because you are reminding him he is a failure

start making hints like:
it sure would be nice if we had food or
i wish we had electricity. or
when are we moving out this box or
why is that rat looking at me? or
i sure wish i had clothes to wear.


if you try these he should eventually get the point.good luck!
