I will not bash the republican part in this post. Please read this carefully.

My Sister lives in New York city. She was scraping by with her husband. She had 3 children, and was generally happy with life. She worked at minimum wage all day. One day, her husband left her. She has not found him. She now works 16 hour days at a bar. She tries to pay rent, and feed her children. She is forced to use welfare from the government. She would be on the street without it.

Republicans claim that people living off of welfare are lazy and sit at home all day. This is not true. Most people on welfare work very hard. Republicans say that they are pro life, but obviously do not care for someone in my sister's position. I can not understand the mess of hypocritical statements.

It seems that republicans do not understand the life of a poor person, and how abortions are sometimes neccesary.

Now, please tell me your thoughts on this issue. Why do you call someone on welfare lazy?

Also, after reading this, tell me why you are pro life. It is often neccesary in the city, and stopping abortions would do nothing. They would occur instead, in unsanitary conditions where both the mom and the baby die. Often times it is a tough choice.

Many call me an awful brother. I am a student, and have very little money myself. I will sen whatever I can to her. It usually amounts to about, 250 a year.

I sympathize with you man. My wife's family lives in NYC, and the cost of living there is outrageously high. Has she gotten into one of the government apartments? That is where my wife's father and her brother and his family share an apartment. They are not on welfare, but they have two sources of income.

Let me say this: my mom was on welfare for a short time while she went to school (after she left my dirtbag father). It was used for what welfare was intended for, a short term solution to get a person on their feet.

Now, I'm a democrat and all...but the reason republicans go off on this is that they think that everbody is just sitting on welfare. And there is a point there. If somebody is abusing the system, they should be put out on the street, without remorse. And that's where the democrats get beat up...they are willing to support someone for basically forever.

Abortions, gay marriage, flag burning, those are just hot-button issues used to scare the church people into voting Republican, and unfortunately, too many bigots don't look at the bigger picture.

I hope your sis is able to get herself off welfare eventually. She may want to consider moving upstate, where her dollars will go further. In the meantime, are you helping her out if able? I hope so, in some way! Sometimes families really do need to look after each other, because the government won't.

I realize that the person you are talking about is your sister and that you love her. I am not a member of any political party, or movement of any kind.
You want the answer to a very complex problem. There is no easy answer. However, assuming you are single, I would go to my sister, explain to her if she wants help I will give it . I will quit school for the time being, get a job and help support her and the kids until she gets on her feet. She must go to school, learn a trade or whatever that will enable her to do that. If she has or is going to have an abortion do it. Have her tubes tied and that will insure that there will be no more abortions. Cause she is not going to quit having sex period. She must quit working at the bar and get a part time job in a more wholesome atmosphere. Quit accepting anything from welfare. I would be supreme dictator on what the kids were allowed to do. Four years max on this program and she is home free. Her kids will be somewhat normal. etc. Then you can continue your life. Four years is a flash in the pan.

The alternative is to let things go the way they are, she will get knocked up again, have another bundle of joy, or another abortion. She will be dependent on welfare for the rest of her life.
Which by the way, in my opinion is not a life at all. Also her kids will most likely be a carbon copy of what she has done. Learn from mistakes.

Either way it goes I would hunt down her good for nothing husband and make sure he paid about $1500 to $1800 per month on a regular basis. No excuses! And above all no comming back to sis. He would do that or have his penis removed with a fairly dull knife. I really don't think you would have to do it, just put on a very convincing act. Oh by the way, he needs to have his tubes tied also, that is if you don't cut his dick off.
Sorry the spelling check is not working!

Son not all Welfare reciepents are Lazy, some bad apples spoil the rest... And I commend your Sister for a job well done, it's not easy being a two parent family, I can only imagine a single parent trying to make it now days.. What get's me is the cost of GAS, FOOD, and Living Conditions Keep Going UP but the minimum wage get's killed everytime in congress.... BUT I assure you, there Raises Keep Coming.. As Far as Pro Life, that decision should be left between the mother of the unborn, AND God... She ultimately has to pay the price of burden and answer to the almighty, not me, not you... Her.......... And as far as Republicans are concerned, there are Democrats, and Independents that are just as bad if not worse, if a Democrat was President, them someone would find faults in them also... A no win situation, I say elect 5 Top People in the U.S. to sit on a presidential panel, and let them rule and govern us, then something and some things would change.... HEY We all need help and a helping hand in life, and some need welfare to survive, my tax dollars support it and so do I, but also bear in mind, it was a Democrat ( Bill Clinton ) who signed the bill, Limiting the lifetime amounts to so many months, instead of indefitnitely.... That will hurt some, and then the bad apples will have to get off their poor me pity and find an alternative way of supporting themselves.... This is my opinion of it all, not swayed by any party of the government or any person... Semper Fi, and Tell your Sister to give em All she's got, and keep on, keepin on.. Good Luck

A. Move out of NYC. I lived there and it is way too expensive. I am living 5 times better at half the pay in the middle of the country. And it's not like she couldn't find a minimum wage job somewhere else.

B. Welfare is for people just like your sister. People who have had circumstances come up where they need help. No problem with that. I'm a republican and I am all for helping someone out, short term.

C. Here's an idea, how about if your sister moves in with you for a couple of years while she gets a 2 year degree or something to get a better job (student loans and grants are easy to get). It's funny that you think everyone else is responsible for helping your sister out, but you apparently aren't doing much.

D. No matter what your income level, abortion should not be a form of contraception. Adoption is a better idea. Plenty of folks are willing to pay for the prenatal care and birth expenses for a baby.

First, this is exactly the type of person that welfare was set up to help. You sister has at her disposal several tools to help her get an education, daycare, and food. She just needs to look into them.
Second, minimum wage is not set up to raise a family on. Minimum wage jobs are for those people just starting out in the workforce (ie: a teen or a recent high school grad with no skill or college edu). The idea is that as a person grows up, their skill increases through on the job training (apprenticeship) or some type of education (not neccessarily education). With the skill increase, the wage increases.
I am very sorry that your sister has had to go through this. I hope her husband rots in hell! It however does not justify abortion. The carlessness of this father does not justify the killing of millions of babies. NO correlation.
Again, there are all kinds of gov programs out there that your sister can utilize to get an education, obtain vocational training, get a car, WIC (only if any of the kids are under the age of 5), the kids should be able to qualify for the school breakfast/lunch program if not under the age of 5. Your sister may be able to get subsidized housing like section 8. She should be able to go through local churches for food and clothing as most areas have these programs. She should qualify for some type of subsidy for daycare if she is going to school or working.
Your sister is a perfect example of those that should be helped by our welfare system. But, more often than not it is someone who chooses to be in the system. The people I work with have actually told me "Why should I work, when I can get money and stay at home". Your sister can "thank" those people for it being harder for her to get help and have the stigma that goes with welfare. Good luck to your sister and her kids!

Actually your statements about Republican beliefs are very wrong. Conservative belief is this, if a person is able to work, they should be given the assistance to become productive, and to improve their life. If they are making an honest effort we are happy to assist.

The belief that people who abuse welfare, and play the system, is what we are against.

I am a Conservative, and my daughter is a single mother who does receive some financial benefits from the government. But she works 40+ hours each week, works hard to make ends meet, and is a benefit to society. I'm very proud of her efforts.

And that is what Conservatives believe, we support effort, and will happily give assistance where effort is made. But we do not believe in "free rides".

Your sister sounds much like my daughter, and she is an inspiration. She should be able to receive assistance since she is making a HUGE effort. She should be commended.

I wish her well, and may success smile upon her greatly.

Binary options let users trade in currency pairs and stocks for various predetermined time-periods, minimal of which is 30 seconds. Executing trades is straightforward. The system uses user-friendly interfaces, which even an 8 years old kid, can operate without having to read any instructions. But winning trades is Not easy.
Binary trading is advertised as the only genuine system that lets users earn preposterous amounts of money in ridiculously short period of time. Advertisers try to implicate as if you can make $350 every 60 seconds; if it was true then binary trading would truly be an astonishing business.
However, does it make any sense? Can every trader make tons of money in binary trading? Who is actually paying all the money or the profit to traders?
The first challenge is finding a trustworthy binary broker; secondly, you need to find a binary trading strategy, which you can use to make profits consistently. Without an effective trading strategy, there is no way you can make money in this business.
Learning a profitable trading strategy is possible, You should watch this presentation video https://tr.im/16635
It's probably the best way to learn how to win with binary option

Kansas dragon nailed it on the welfare issue.

All I would add is that she should move out of NYC. There are cheaper (and nicer) places to live.

My arguement against abortion is simple. The choice a woman has is to get pregnant or not. It's not that hard to avoid it. However, once you decide, you live with the decision. You cite having a difficult financial situation as reason enough to have an abortion. What if your financial situation is fine when you have kids (say you married wealthy) but then you find yourself poor again (the wealthy guy divorces you and you get nothing), is it OK then to kill your kids because you can no longer support them? Of course not, ridiculous, but it's the same logic you are trying to use to support abortion.

Personally I am not rich and I am a Republican.
I have NEVER said the only people on welfare are lazy and sit home all day.
I am pro choice not pro pop out a kid every 9 months.
I understand the concept of the life of a poor person very well thank you!
Where I come from the ILLEGALS get it all handed on a silver platter and yes I have been personally turned down for assistance while they get it!
Don't ever presume to make a blanket statement about us again.

On abortion: When our society disregards life through means such as abortion, how much better are we than those that seek to kill us in other countries? We aren't.

On welfare...my question to you would be why did she not try to go further than a high school education? Why did she not try educational programs through her jobs? Why does your family have her living on her own raising three kids? Does she have no affiliation with any type of Church?

I have a girlfriend at work who was forced to go on welfare for a while, but she went on a work program, was sent out to my place of business and managed to work her way up as well. It can be done.

The job I have I had to work my butt off for. I got my job through the local government and worked my way up. I'm not loaded by any stretch of the word, but I'm not minimum wage either. Perhaps she should look into a government entity and go from there.
