The biggest risk occurs during the first trimester, as the neural tube is developing. By taking a hot bath then, you are (possibly) putting your child at risk for developing spina bifida.

Since you may have something else going on, it would be best to call your nurse. Hot baths and showers can be a problem for people who are not pregnant. I nearly passed out because of a hot bath when I was not pregnant. And with my last pregnancy had some problems with heart that were not detected till labor. Hot showers made me feel sick.
Also, 'hot' is relative. When my hubby takes a 'hot' bath, I call it 'par boiling'!

No hot tubs, and no tanning. Hot showers and baths are okay as long as you don't overdo the temperature. Basically the hot water will raise your own body temperature and while you can regulate your own temperature your fetus can't so they could get overheated in there. It's like getting a fever while your pregnant isn't a good thing either, so it's like an accidentally induced fever.

NO its not perfectly fine. You should not take a s hower or a bath in a high degree of temp. Nothing above 100 degree. Thats why pregnant women are not allowed in hot tubs and the average temp for those is 102

I'm sure there's a set temp for when babies brains start to fry, and it's definitely not advisable to be in a hot tub.
Try this: Take a warm bath, but let the faucet trickle hot water. Put a wash cloth under it occasionally and place it on different parts of your body like your forehead, chest, thighs, and arms.

Everyone's definition of hot is different. Check the below link for an article I found in ref. this. Too hot is a no-go i.e. a sauna or hot tub. A nice warm bath is perfectly fine. Toss in some epsom salts or your fav. bubble bath and relax! We all deserve it :)

A hot bath is fine. They used to tell pregnant women to avoid it back in the day. The only thing that isn't okay is a hot tub or jacuzzi.

Yes, just make sure the water is not too hot or just becareful it doesn't make you dizzy, I know when you deliver they will tell you the same thing right after because real hot water can in some way cause you to faint.
