There could be any number of reasons for a no-start condition and the last thing that anyone should do is to just start guessing at them and randomly trying things. Having said that, do NOT loosen a fuel line. If your car does not start and you do not have some mechanical know-how, you could end up causing yourself (and possibly others) a great deal more trouble than you are currently experiencing. If you have some abilities, in terms of working on automobiles, then email me and I will ask you for some information to help you sort this out. If you are not confident that you can work on this car, then you should have it towed to the dealer or another competent shop in your area for proper diagnosis. I am a former service consultant and automotive technician with 9 years of experience and a specialization in advanced engine controls.

To make it start, you need fuel and a spark. If you are missing either, it won't start. If it just stopped working, you likely have a computer or electrical issue. You can check the fuel system if you loosen the fuel line while cranking to see if any fuel comes out. Be careful, you don't want to blow your car up.

According to my husband, it is an open ended guestion. Is there spark( pull off the spark plug and when you turn over the engine, you should see spark come off of that spark plug wire.) If there is no spark, it cold be a coil, the engine, and many other things. Need more info. .

A typical engine needs 3 things to run: SPARK, FUEL and MECHANICAL COMPRESSION. Missing any one of these and engine will not run. Check for these.

use a timinglight to check firing from the distributor/coil if not firing one or the other is bad. Maybe fuel pump or timing belt broke, or jumped timing. Does engine turn over?
