They need a food source as all living things to begin. Unlike true plants,fungi are unable to produce a food source of thier own. They are parasitic. Moisture is also vital. Since most do develop in dim light,total darkness is not necessary. Food and moisture are definitely required.

A good blend of horse or cow **** and ordinary mold and lot of darkness at least 8-9 hours pr day and the air must be full of water like a fog but so you became very well over good? what kind of mushrooms i hope its the funny one SO you must have a good t... nice day

mix dung brown rice hay and piss and let it sit for awhile, then sprinkle spores on it and put it in a nice humid place, i think they like the dark but mine dont really care
