You are a M*R*N. The company I work for, a fortune 500 biotech...headquaters located in Cali. donated $1.2 million, before Bush did anything. Plus they started up a matching gifts program which we all donated generously to....and where do you think these loaded stars who were generous with the relief efforts come from? California of course..

The universities took in a lot of UNO and Tulane U students so they could continue their studies. Californians are still paying outrageous prices for everything and paying off earthquake, fire and mudslide damage costs. Most don't have much left over.
I believe only a small fraction of the population have the excess cash and lack of self- control to waste their money on pet extravagances

How do you know that people who pamper thier dogs didn't send money to help Katrina victims?
True, the money could be better spent, but I don't see how this relates to Katrina, or how spending money on your dog makes you a liberal.
