No I don't at all, you don't explain why you think that too.The cause of most birthmarks is unknown. Most birthmarks are not inherited. Many folk tales and myths exist about the causes of birthmarks, but none of these stories have been proven to explain the true causes of birthmarks. Most vascular birthmarks are not due to difficulties or problems that happen to the mother during pregnancy, nor are they inherited. Research is presently underway to identify the exact etiology of vascular birthmarks. Teams of medical specialists, including plastic surgeons, hematologists, dermatologists and radiologists are cooperating in efforts to better understand and treat all types of vascular birthmarks.
Many people actually feel birth marks are the causes of when pregnant women feel like a certain craving for a food... I don't believe this either. I haven't heard anything that makes sense as of yet.
Some birthmarks are usually not seen or very small while others can disfigure by being too large.

I know for certain that there are more immediate and plausible sources of birthmarks than a "past life." Think about it. If spirit and body were truly distinct entities, as you might believe, and only the spirit (non-physical) carries on after death, then the new body should not have any physical manifestations of injury carried on from the earlier body.
I am inclined to think that genetic factors, and factors present in the growing baby's environment in the womb would have the REAL and immediate effects on the child's features.
(Well, I might be biased in this, as I don't believe in reincarnation, or the spirit, or life after death, AT LEAST I admit it..But come on...Reincarnation and birth marks? Talk about illusory correlations and superstition...)

"Hello brooke h! Researching your question, I came upon more information than I thought existed. Birthmarks are catagorized as Hemangiomas and Vascular Anomalies.
Vascular Anomalies (birthmark) consist of various congenital lesions ranging from simple skin discolorations to large devastating vascular malformations.
Common birthmarks include hemangioma, port-wine stain, venous malformation, arteriovenous malformation (AVM), lymphatic malformation or cystic hygroma, and various complex vascular syndromes (Klippel-Trenaunay, Parkes-Weber, Proteus, Maffucci, Blue-rubber bleb nevus).
Most birthmarks can be treated with laser, sclerotherapy or embolization.
In conclusion brooke h, consider the scientific method to answer your question and check out all the sources I've listed especially for you. If you believe something different, than these causes listed, feel free to continue.
So long and good luck."

I don't believe in reincarnation. However, I have a birthmark on my stomach which has an interesting story. When my mother was expecting me, she ran over my dad's Irish setter and killed her. When she saw what had happened, she put her hand on her stomach. My grandmother said, "You just marked your baby!" and when I was born, there was a birthmark on my stomach the exact color of an Irish setter! I always say I am glad she didn't cover her face with her hands when she ran over the dog.

no, because there is no such thing as reincarnation
birth marks are either marks incurred during the birth process or from the position of the baby in the womb

No I do not believe that at all.
I believe birth marks are from the way the fetus is developed in the womb.
