A normal pregnancy could be anywhere from 38 to 42 weeks in length.
Due dates are just estimates. Babies come when they are ready.

honestly i have had 3 children and none of thier due dates were right you just have to figure out when you might of gotten pregnant because all they go by at the docs is your last missed period and some people can actually have a period while they are pregnant so as long as they are off by a week or two i wouldnt worry they could be right but they could be wrong my due date was april 30 and i had my baby on the 20th of april and she was fine and i honestly dont think she was early. and my son his due date was jan 27 i had him feb 1 only you would really know if u need to know more feel free to ask.

It dosnt always mean the due date was figured wrong. Most Dr.s will give or take two weeks to the estimated due date. But 9 times out of 10 yes they figured the due date wrong or the mother gave a wrong date of there last menstration.

Nope, a due date is simply the day that is considered the "normal" gestational period for a human. The baby can be early can be late can be right on time the date is just a general idea of when the baby will be here.

A "due date" is not an exact science it is just an highly educated guess. Most pregnancies last between 38 and 40 weeks and they calculate when you are due on 40 weeks based on what information you have provided.
Babies come when they want either before their due date, after their due and if the "due date guess" was right(a very good guess) then on your due date.

Only about 1-10% of babies are born on their due date. My little man was 3 days late according to the ultrasounds, and they're only 89-94% accurate. So It's all chance. No one but you would know for sure and only if you had sex just once in two months.

Very few babies are born on the due date (I was one who was). There's a four-week window that's considered acceptable...two weeks on either side of the due date.
But yes, due dates can be wrong. Case in point--when I was pregnant with my son, I was given a due date of 1/1/2002 based on ultrasound measurements. When I calculated it using first day of last period, I came up with 12/18/01. My son was born 12/16/01, weighing over 8 pounds.

the answer to this is no the due date isn't wrong if you haven't made it to your 40 weeks. full term pegnantacy is from 36-40weeks. and yes you may go over that but it doesn't mean that the date is wrong. Now if your a few months early or late then thats a problem.

The due date is only right 1/20 times I believe. Something after 36 weeks is normal...

Yes - The "Due Date" is an educated guess. However, the more we advance our education, experience, and technology, the more accurate the prediction. So a date based solely on the date of your last menstrual period will have a greater margin of error than one based on measurements taken during an ultrasound.
