when someone says bless you to me after a sneeze i say thank you

thank you. this saying started hundreds of years ago. it was beleived that when you sneezed, your soul left your body through your nose, allowing time for satan to sneak in. by saying bless you right away it blocked satan from entering through your nose. and your own soul gets back in and so on and so forth and so on.

supposedly, their heart stops when they sneeze. so saying god bless you, is like saying you are lucky your heart started again. god blessed you
