My iPod won't update my new songs and videos I have on iTunes. When I plug it in, my iPod shows up and it says "updating iPod" but then afterwards when it says "complete", I eject it and then I check if my videos/songs are on there and they aren't. I've tried this 4 times and nothing has happened. I tried re-opening iTunes again but that doesn't work and everything I have on iTunes was purchased. Please help me.

Go to iPod options and load them manually.

You did not specify if you're using a Mac or PC - sometimes the only way to go is to restore, but remember to backup first:

try reinstalling itunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
and check to see if you have the latest ipod firmware from http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/
