Cocoa butter sounds like something you use in baking or cooking, is it safe?

Stretch marks are caused by a rapid weight gain in a short amount of time. (That's why so many pregnant women get them). Your skin gets stretched too tight creating the stretch marks. Stretch marks fade with time. Avon and Mary Kay both have lotions that will help prevent stretch marks. Lotions with vitamin E are also supposed to help. Personally I haven't found anything that gets rid of them. The best thing to do is avoid getting them. Use the lotion from now on and that should help.

as far as I know, stretch marks once appeared can be removed only by surgery. u can only prevent them. somehow, a lot of moisture (I mean, vitamin E oil, shea butter or any other super moisturiser) can make them less visible, but for that u have to do it every day, properly, for quite a long time.
I have a lot of stretch marks on my hips, I noticed when I get suntan, they also become less visible. Now am expecting and do everything to prevent them (again, the method is to keep ur skin well-moisturized and elastic). They say, a tablespoonful of olive oil every day can also make skin less prone to stretches.
There r also special anti-stretch marks creams, but they mainly work as prevention.

Yes, they are permanent. They are scars from your body growing faster than your skin. They will fade after a while, but never go away. Use moisterizer daily to help with the ones you have and help prevent new ones. But really there is no 'cure'. People spend a lot of money on expensive creams, but they really don't work. You probably need to gain muscle slower so your skind has time to keep up.

Sucks. You're talking about right above the armpits right? They're permanent. Cocoa butter keeps them from getting worse, but there is nothing you can do to get rid of what you already have.
