3 ideas
1) get invoved in something that you have a passion for. I remember working as a territory manager for Pepsi, there was a fellow in the department that retired after 32 years in his late 50's. he got involved as a field marshall at a golf course (he loved golf) and within 2 years was head of foodservice operations.
2) very big industry growth right now in personal business trainer/coach. I was reading an article that went as far as to point out that some upstarts are opening offices to train people how to be personal trainers.
3) professional concierge services, where you arrange everything from flights and lodging to arranging pool cleaning and dog walking for the very wealthy. these is a big firm in boston that is growing rapidly, perhaps you could open a franchise in your area

good for YOU..retirement can be the best time of your life....In my opinon, sit down and with pen and ink write down all the things you enjoyed doing in your work plus what you would like to do. Then visit your local university where you can talk to a counselor in the business dept. they can tell you where the openings are out there in the workplace...what was needed 30 years ago has changed our country is so service oriented. There are always special needs from different areas of employment. The people at the universities who make the studies for your area would be the best ones to talk to about your next career...Best wishes and happy hunting...

Hello,
Welcome to the M2C Difference
What do we mean by that?
M2C is a totally different model to what you've ever experienced before. We are Manufacturer to Consumer direct. Unlike 99% of most so-called "opportunities" who have their products made by someone else and pass high costs on to distributors, this company is the manufacturer- direct to the consumer, and there are no middle sales or multi-level companies.
Highlights of Why This will Attract Everyone We Know:
* NO Fees to Participate - Why should you pay a distributor fee to sell for any company? Never pay a distributor fee to join a company ever again!
* NO Forced Monthly Purchases - One of the biggest reasons people drop out is because companies force them to purchase product every month they can't afford.
* One Powerful Product - SIMPLE and this is going to SELL! It's not a pill, its not a capsule, its not a liquid and... IT WORKS FAST! Results Sell - Day one you'll feel it, day two you'll love it and day three you'll be telling your friends.
* Solid Company - A 12 year old manufacturer that has the capability of shipping over $10 million dollars worth of product a day.
* Free Samples to Dealers - They will continually be giving out Free Samples for Dealers to Hand Out. Most companies simply can't afford to do this, but they make the products and understand the importance of getting people to try the product.
* Low Cost - A two months supply will only cost $49. No more trying to sell your friends on buying $200 or $300 of product that they don't need.
* Pays Out Checks Daily - They understand the importance of getting dealers money quick. Our goal is to make this company a household name in a short periodof time, and you have the opportunity to earn a fortune as this occurs! You can earn money as people purchase from your retail store, BUT WOULDN'T YOU RATHER have an entire team earning you money as well?

I would say it depends on your interests as well as what you hope to get from your job in your retirement from your career. I have known several retirees that have enjoyed working in a hotel as bellman, valet, or shuttle drivers. It provides interaction with many different people, a steady wage with opportunities for tips, and hotels are just plain fun. Otherwise inventory hobbies and interests outside of your career to determine which ones may translate to a new job for you. You have already worked hard for 30+ years, why not find something enjoyable and flexible?

Depending on where in the world u live. In the East, u mite need to take a big step down. But if yr expertise is in demand, a head hunting outfit may b able to hook u into another big co. Otherwise, u mite have to b content with just enjoying life in sports, travel, hobbies, voluntary work, even grand-parenting kids/doing errands for yr own kids, if u have them

Consider taking a real estate pre-licensing class. Many folks from all walks in life are attracted to learn about real estate. It's an opportunity to network with like-minded folks , looking for a new career or maybe just looking to invest or rehab. Lots of potential & possibilities!!! Good Luck!

How about working in the home health care field? Or as an aide in a special education classroom? Or in an adult daycare program? There are day programs for people with disabilities and job coaching programs. If this interests you, check with your local ARC or Center for Independent Living.

The YA crew is hiring for more beneficial or less $50k a 12 months to commence, even if the ability to study and write will disqualify you except you could effectively drink 19 gallons of espresso in protecting with day. i trust there is an benefit of $4 in protecting with account that you'll droop wrongfully. so in case you wanna call names and stuff, there's a staggering destiny for you in that! (lol.. as if the Rev might want to ever do something like that!!!!)

Volunteer opportunities abound. Helping others get a step up in life is very rewarding. If you need a salary, look for part time jobs that can expand your horizons, use one of your special interests, or makes you happy.
