Hi,

i have formatted a laptop and installed Windows 2000.

Then i discovered that the backup CD is corrupted.

Is there any software or way to get my previous data on the desktop back?

Thanks. :)

Maybe you can still recover something...

there is a service to do such things but it costs a pretty penny... do a net search on "Data Recovery", and find the company and price range that best suits you. its very simular to what the feds do to recover deleted files... but if you've installed a new OS it may be next to impossible but they may be able to snag bits and pieces for you...
