Yes but only because I spent longer years in school.
Had you asked are you more intelligent than your parents, then I would say no.

Yes for have more and easier access to information than my parents-parents had no access to home computer for example.Besides my parents were busy working and raising their children while I have more time to for example leisurely read the paper in the AM since I do not work out of the home as my mother and father did. The world was also much smaller when my parents were growing up and so on. The advances in technology have made information available at our fingertips.I liked the age of my parents-air cleaner, not yet the reality of global warming-life was safer for did things like hitch which I wouldn't do now.

In some regards, yes. I'm the only one in my family with a medical background, but my father was a top civil servant and my mother supervised hundreds of people in a similar career field. I couldn't tell them how to do their jobs and they certainly couldn't tell me how to do mine. Now, if you meant to ask which of us were the wiser, that's a very subjective thing. My father and mother both tended to be quite impulsive about certain topics, like religion and politics, whilst I tend to take more time to gather facts and think things through. They couldn't have been too stupid, though - they raised me, after all! ;-)

It depends on what you mean. I'm a teenager and I probably know what's going on in today's world more than them especially in Entertainment and Technology. They still don't know how to use an IPod lol. But if you mean knowledgeable in adult stuff like Finances and dealing with adult problems...maybe not that much. I mean I'm still a young adult here.

What I have found out is the older I get, the less I know.

At one time I thought my mother was the stupidest person in the world. Now...I realize I knew S*#t, and Know even less today.

Today, my mother is the smartest person I've ever known

I dont think so, as the saying goes "Experience is the best teacher", in some aspects maybe but overall they know more than i do. Regardless of that fact, i still do what i think is right coz only from my mistakes i will truly learn.

As far as technology is concerned, yes. But with regard to life in general? No, they've been there, done that, and I need their advice on many things.
