There is a belief that if a boy wears girl's clothes it will cause him grief and serious mental damage. It could turn him into a homosexual.. (Note that a girl wearing boys clothes does NOT have the same effect.)

In cultures where skirts are a normal part of boys wear, they still have a big difference between what is considered women's clothes and what is allowed for men's clothes.

No matter how you try there are still problems with this in our culture. Imagine you ask your boyfriend to wear a skirt for you and when he does he exposes hairy legs.... What to do...shave them?? And what shoes should a boy wear with a skirt? Do argyle socks work with a skirt? You don't want him to look like a girl or a transvestite. How is he going to look good without looking like he has serious gender identification issues?

I don't think you'll see cool guys in skirts anytime soon.

Your WRONG! Men have worn skirts far longer than women have throughout time. Many of those skirts were mini and micro mini length so length isn't an issue. If you stop and really use your head for a moment you would realize it makes far more sense for a male to wear a skirt than a female... no freakin crotch binding inseams, cooler than shorts and if really short there is incredible freedom of movement. All good! Noting negative!
Men do look great in short skirts but they don't know it. See these guys in skirts and note they still look like men and obviously are NOT cross dressing to look like women: http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/22064674

Only homophobic, sexually insecure men will have a "problem" with men in skirts. These guys are usually sexist and women are smart to stay away from them. Turns out chicks are intrigued by guys in skirts and they will get more action than the jocks. If your man enough try a Cargo Mini Skirt on a warm day and see for yourself. Chances are you won't give it up!

You ought to move to Scotland for the spring. Watch Braveheart, where all the Scotchmen went to battle against the Brits. I loved that movie.
Me, I try to hide out as a boy. If I was back in the turn of the 19th Century, I'd try to pass myself off as a boy.

You could wear a scottish skirt if you must but... {=\
why would you want to? I wear whatever I find on top of my clothes pile in the droor or whatever I see first in my closet.

But think about it, the answer isn't hard to find.

body parts, hun. they got danglers that we don't. When we wear they're pants there's just more room. but if a guy came in one day wearing a mini skirt. . . . and for shirts when we wear their shirts it's just tight across the chest. If the guys wore our shirts there would be two sags on the chest.
