Do a word game.

Your posterior is inferior to your head which is superior........ ah, I lost this one.

Your elbow is distal to your torso, but your knee is proximal to your ankle...

My brain hurts now.

Good luck

When I took Anatomy, we did kind of a Hokey-Pokey game with "abduction, adduction" etc. If you know the terms and I've correctly remembered them, this might help.

The other thing we did was to play a game sort of like Taboo! where you describe the term you want the team to guess but without saying the word or any portion thereof.

If your wrist is proximal to your elbow, that must hurt. These terms are derived from the Latin, and they have equivalents in other words with which you're more familiar. Anterior comes from ante, before; and posterior post, after, just as in telling time a.m. is before noon and p.m.after noon. So the tip of your nose is anterior to your face. The wrist is distant from, or distal to, the elbow, using the center of the body as a reference point. Medial should remind you of middle, and and proximal is close, as approximate may be close enough. I don't imagine you have any trouble with superior being higher and inferior lower. If you check the etymology of the words, they'll begin to make sense.

this is the best game yet; play charades, one person stands and does movements and people name them or fills in the blanks.
in a drawn human body.

I give anatomy tutoring and i really don't think its a good way of learning i always tell my students to study with logic not with memory.and read read read.

Of course I give nueroanatomy. And this is like something my students already know.
