Gauri Karnik is all set to play the role of a beggar woman. She has been paired opposite Vijay Raaz in PRARAMBH. The story is about a beggar Bholu. He treats his job with great importance. And he uses all tactics to make money. Karnik plays the role of Chamki who is also a beggar and poses competition to Bholu by begging at the same temple. Gauri says that this role is quite opposite to the one she played in SUR. There she was vulnerable and in this film she is a strong character. For this role Gauri has researched beggars for 11 days. She observed their body language, voices and their mannerisms. She even borrowed their clothes laundered them and used them in the film. Kumar Dave is directing PRARAMBH. He is all parises for Gauri. Dave says, "I realized that only Gauri had the voice personality to fit the role and as a talented actress she could portray the character."
