I think it's been hyped enough to sell good in the first week but word of mouth if it bites could kill it afterwards.

Yes, you are right on the money. I don't think it's going to sell a million copies, but there will be enough people who either like her or are curious enough to buy her CD. You are right that word of mouth (or lack thereof) could slow sales. A good first week could put it in the top 10.

If it's in the top ten it's only because the record company stuffed every store with 400 copies of it, and the actual sales volume won't be known until it's too late. This is what is called in the industry a "vanity record" where a celebrity makes a record for no other reason than to gratify themselves and their monstrous ego.
Chances are, it doesn't DESERVE to be in the top ten.

Actually I have been privelidged enough to listen to all of the songs she has made for her cd (not the single), and the ones that will never be used...I have to say that there are some pretty good songs on there....though some are a bit annoying...overall I think that she will be having quite a few hits...When it comes out I am gonna buy it...even though I already pretty much own it (just not the official one)

i dont know how good she is without all the things they can do in the studio but since it was recorded in the studio they made her suprisingly sound really good and I love the song Stars are blind doesnt make much sense but I still think its catchy and I like it. There I admitted it and I have been outted as a Paris fan and I feel much better, lol

no this cd is going to be in the top ten for a while two reasons : its paris hilton and its actually not bad the songs are cheesy but catchy and most guys like the video hahhahahhaa

why is she even trying? Paris get a life what are you going to think that you can do next? It must be nice to have money that way today if you want to sing and make a CD you can. Then tomarrow if you want to have a clothing line you can. I don't agree with that it's sad that all you have to do is say I'm so and so and then you can do what ever. Try and make name for yourself don't keep using your family's name.

no way she was good in the simple life but if you have every seen the video of her first single off the CD you can tell it is not going to be a good CD maybe the first week but that is it. if people were smart they would stay a way from this CD. by the video i say it has to be all about s*x :( it has to be bad and it probably sucks

There are a lot of young, impressionable little kiddies that look up to that dingbat...so her cd may do very well. Just look at the huge success of Ashlee Simpson's music career - unbelievable and so depressing!!

As much as I can't stand Paris Hilton, I really like that song "Stars are Blind." My prediction is that she will be successfull since her sound is just like Gwen Stefani. I think she's going to get bigger in popularity. Big bummer....

I think we should all stamp on her CD in the shop and refuse to pay for damages, saying that it was due to mental health problems that you did it!
