I am totally right there with you. I know it's a cult classic and all, but I just don't get it. I liked it alright, but I feel like it's one of those movies you can only watch once.

Your missing one of the very few movies that actually tells a story based on some of the recent trends in speculative physics. The really neat part of the script is how the end is contained in the beginning and vice versa. The overall result is a very weird movie with a complicated plot that is sometimes hard to follow unless you watch very carefully..

So far as I'm concerned that's all right because I like weird.

Perhaps I'm a little weird myself.

OK. Who was that in the back of the room that said, "Not just a little?" I heard that!

I hope this is of some help.

it truly is particularly a lot like a opt for your own experience e book. The action picture gave you yet another direction that existence might want to have taken. it truly is like as if there are a number of different lifetimes goings on mutually and your purely allowed to view one by one. as if a decision that you're making throws you into yet another pathway (the piece from the airplane became from a special existence decision and for some reason ended up interior the incorrect position on the incorrect time - for this reason unexplainable, like it slipped by ability of a wormhole or something) and leads you down a highway while in case you had opt for something else you've gotten ended up on a highway parallel to that highway, yet not an analogous highway. i have not seen it in a lengthy time period, yet i like that action picture. i trust it truly is about a guy that receives stuck between "paths" and genuinely receives the uncommon probability to "opt for", the position usually we do not see both part like that. In genuine existence we do not have a countdown to our lack of existence, you recognize? wish i did not confuse you worse....

I liked it and my bud hated it. I can see your pioint. I dug the mood, the music (I mean, they had an Echo & the Bunnymen song...how rare is that!), Bubble Boy was pretty darned good in it but it's a bit pretentious in trying to "say" something about teenage angst.

I don't think you are missing anything. You either liked it or you didn't. I wouldn't say it's a "great" flick but I did enjoy it.

Were you watching? Watch "Harvey", and "Last Temptation of Christ", then rewatch "Donnie Darko", and see what you think!

I don't like it either. I think the movie is redicilous, and not in a good, funny way either. It just doesn't make much sense, and if it does, it's not very good.
