Yes. There are many programs out there that offer to show you where to go to make money. If you're a decent typist, there are several serices that will pay you to do overture postings or filling out free online classifieds. You might search on "typist wanted."

There are also several crafts that you can make at home and sell on ebay.

You can also check out elance.com, where you can bid on transcription, graphic design and other jobs. www.sologig.com is another site similar to elance, except typically you can post a profile to let people contact you with projects.

Do some searching on telecommuting jobs and/or wahm (work at home mom) sites.

Offer to do virtual assistant work for local companies advertising secretarial openings in the newspaper, unless you're more in a rural area and the local paper doesn't have that many listing. You can always go online for the nearest big city.

A lot of it depends on what you want to do and your background. Good luck.

To actually make money you have ot know what you want to doand have the money for start up.
I kow of a lady who raises day lillies and sells them on line and makes a good living doing so. She however is an expert in her business.
I know another couple who raises blue night crawlers and sells them online., and mails them out. Her former customers order on line but she cannot keep up as her online business grew so fast.
You have to offer a service or sell soemthing tangleable. So your best bet is todosome soul searching and try to come up with something you are comfortable with and sell it.
You can search out companies which offer their goods to third parties . A situation is best where you don't stock , but take orders and the companies directly send to your customers under your name. A guy at work buys items from walmarts on closure or sale items. He was making 1500 a month clear on fishing tackle alone on the internet.
YOU need your product or service you have ot offer. so what can you offer or what can yuo sell. For example thse sites which offer cheap term are not liscensed insurance sales people. They contact insurance companies are actually the middle man. They attract and bring the customer to the insurance company and the ones which buy will produce a profit for them. and they get millions of requests a day for coverage . I would not invest money until I found out what I wanted and was happy with it.
I would try something small and see how it went. Maybe getting orders ofor clothes or jewelery, and purchasing them after the custormer paysyou> (that is why so many mail order companies and tv commercials have the 4 to six weeks deliver. If you could come up with the small out of the way item that few have.
Before the computers were out I met a coupla of former school teachers who began making the small wood decorative animals, and such yuou se in kitchens. their best seller was a chicken on plywood ,He carved she painted and they sold them on commision allover alabama and eventually everywhere. a family here came up with the idea of the smelly things yo hang inyour car, began to make them at home and eventually became rich though store commisions and mail order sales. Just scent on paper:):)with a string to hang it on.
If you can do anything you set your mind to first find something you feel secure with. And gop for it.
good luck:):)

With a computer at home and internet connection, you can start earning from home, without any investment. You should choose your work at home job according to your skills and time available.
If you have a good typing speed, general and legal transcription jobs from companies like Mountain West, Tigerfish and Accutran are available. Some of these companies do not require any experience.
You can apply directly from their websites which are listed at
http://tinyurl.com/o65rb
Medical transcription work at home is also available if you have completed a course and have relevant experience.

Look into a career in real estate or mortgages. Laws and requirements for licensing vary from state to state, but it is a legitimate career with a flexible schedule and no limit to how much you can earn.

The only drawback is you are paid strictly on commission. Some months you could make tons of money and some months you could make absolutely nothing.

But, you sound motivated and it's one career choice that I know is not a scam.

There are lots of MLM's you can get into on the internet and they provide you a website (for $8 to $12 a month). Some you have to buy products to show from the start, others you have to buy some of the product per month. The MLM's are anything from Avon, Tupperware, cookie mix, greeting cards, prepaid legal, to selling vitamins, it's your choice. Just go into yahoo search engine and type in MLM and then choose which you'd like to research, then type in "MLM scams" and see if the one you want is on the scam list.
