This is a great question, and the answer is...yes! It is perfectly normal and heterosexual to masturbate and even perform it on eachother and be straight. Now I know some will say I am on crack, but it is perfectly normal sexual practice among normal highschool-college and even grown adults!
Some guys just like this as a male bonding time (nothing really romantic or senseual) it is just a normal thing guys do anyway might as well bring a friend! Now also younger boys will do this to understand that they are normal for jacking off in the first place (which they are!) but they will want that assureence that there friend do too, then curiousity (though perfectly normal) will ask them how thier friends do it, or how their bodies work or look.
Short answer to all of this bable, yes, it is perfectly normal.

It's funny - I've known I was gay for as long as I can remember and would never have dreamed of masturbating with my high school friends for fear of people finding out my sexuality. Years later, it transpired that ALOT of straight guys in my year were getting together on a regular basis - bit pissed I never got involved!

Yep. And often the boys involved who are gay may not realize at the time that they are, which probably means that it is not somehow "intentionally" gay.

No it is not normal and it is a sin. There is no reason to masturbate much less with other boys. It's a sexual perversion that can lead to more pain in ones life.
