When I title my essay, I wait until I am mostly done before I come up with a title. Also try basing your title off of you thesis statement or topic sentences. This should give you some idea on where to get a good title. Also try using the thesaurus to find other words that mean the same thing to make better title, or one that sounds better, and goes w/ your paper,

I always take the subject of the Essay and use it as a Title

Name it after the theme of the essay. You give it a title after you are through writing it.

If you write a boring essay the title will be boring too.

Depends on what the essay is about and what type of audience it is for; for example, is it supposed to be a formal technical essay or a humorous essay for teens.

Name it 'The Best Goddamn Essay You Will Ever Read'. Kinda have to follow through on that, though. Puts a little pressure on you.
