My period for this month is 8 days late. but from the month before it wasnt my normal period (aka) very light and spotty. is there any possible way that the test was wrong and that i could of been pregnant then still and now im further along?

It could of giving you a negative reading because you tested to soon. Your HCG levels were not high enough to be recognized by the test.

You are far enough to test again. If this one comes out negative I would go the Doctors and have them do a test. They will probably do a blood test.

If you are pregnant they might want to do an ultrasound to see how the baby is.

YES it's very possible.

You need to do another test to be sure. If the home test still shows negative and you only spot, then see your doctor. You could have another problem besides pregnancy that is causing this.

Good Luck

ANytime you have unprotected sex you can get pregnant. So it is very possible. Take another test or go to the doctor and have the blood test which I understand is the most accurate.

extremely possible. take another test. there may not have been enough of the hormone to detect the pregnancy the first time. but sounds like you probably are pregnant. congrats! (i hope that's what you want to hear. lol)
