i got my cart. pierced with a standard piercing earring so what would be the best gauge to wear, like for a barbell. i was thinkin a 18 gauge, would that be ok or would a 16 gauge be better. plz help.

a standard gun post is an 18g. your ear can be stretched with tapers-this is painful especially on cartilage up to a 14g. it's best to only stretch up 1 jump but 2 can be done safely depending on the age of the piercing. the size depends on which part of the cartilage you have pierced and how much abuse it takes. if a lot of bumps go for a 14g

The smallest one. From there you can work to bigger ones as time passes, if that's what you want. When I went to Claires, the girl told me either a 16 gauge or even a 14 gauge would work.
