To me very important. In the book performing without a net the guy claimed that clinging to a place is immature. But to me place is important.

I think a sense of home is very important. Part of defining who you are is your place within the community. If you're a nomad then you are not part of the community. That makes you a nobody that nobody cares about.

Friends, family, community provide all you need in life.

As it could be a country as much as a home I think it is quite important.... as someone who was born and raised in one country and now living in another for people to understand who I am they need to know where my formative years were spent....
a home ,on the other hand, is the best informative insight to a persons character..... if you know had to read the aesthetics- it's a form of subliminal advertising really- we make subjective choices as to what we put in them after all....

you must be referring to "niche", where you get to release your potentials and bring out the best in you... that being in that place would mean a sense of belonging..it is that important in all kinds of relationships, you do think so that no man is an island..
