I'm defently not pregnant, 150% sure, but my right breast smells of stale milk, mostly when have really bad hot flashes also more certain week of month, got no feelable lumps, early 30's and been having hot flashes really bad for over 4 years now. nurse says 'too young/not menopause.

no discharge, no red skin/infection, just odour, now not imaging it, cause partner and several friends have made comments on the odour (diff weeks) asking if spilt milk on me, but hadn't had milk split on me nor had I drank/used milk .

Is this just an early/common but little mentioned sympton of starting menopause?. its not daily thing, only really noticable baddly when the hot flashes are really bad, although not just confind to same week in month, feel light headed and very thirsty too when get the hot flashes.

should I insist on proper checks? a nurse dismissed it last time, as nothing to worry about, but a friend says I ought to demand checks, I did have lump removed (benign) years ago that side too

Yes coming from the nipple area, not under breast, i do have some tiny spots in mostly the same area's, sometimes new one appear on both nipples that if pressed gently ooze a white non milk smelling substance, comes out like depressing a tube of toothpaste!, but had these since i was a teenager and are more like zits.

nurse said hormones + oily skin due to being a teen, like told me my periods would lessen with age, but got very worse. told if had had children they would have done hysterectomy years ago, dispite having other severe medical problems, having to wear a lower spinel brace, on morphine strength pain patches, T3 to name a few, I have accepted that I will never have children, they won't and still refuse to do it until I do, or get to certain age, dispite medical probs and medicines.

I wash regulary thoughtout the day when able to get to somewhere they have a sink in the toilet cubicle if out or if visit friends and family, if get hot will have a quick freshen

you may be perimenapausal which would account for several of your symptoms. have them check your estrogen level. some women develop a yeast like infection under their breasts especially in hot weather. if so, clean well and apply a little miconazole cream 2%. you didn't say if it was as if it was coming from the nipple.good luck

I am sorry but it is NOT up to the nurse to dismiss your concerns . . where is your doctor???????? if the office you went to was like this, seek out another one and make sure you see the doctor NOT the nurse . . . there could be something seriously wrong here ...... demand to see the doctor at your current office or get a new one

please go & see your GP, not your nurse. Hot flushes can be symptoms of other problems not just the menopause.
Im concerned your nurse dismissed your problems. Please go back.
