they're afraid of rejection and getting hurt. they feel that, being the guy in the relationship, they always have to be strong and right. so, telling their friends that they got turned down isn't very appealing. besides, most women arent easily read. in fact, most of us try to make it hard so that its not embarassing for US to get turned down. its just an inner battle of the sexes type thing where nobody wants to lose, but someone eventually has to.

Guys tend to hold everything in. It must have started when they were young toddlers. Hearing things like - (Don't cry, you're a big boy and big boys don't cry) They eventually built a solid wall on the inside that holds everything in. The word LOVE is not a part of a boys vocabulary until they become oh lets say 30ish... Don't press that issue or you'll run him off for sure. If he does love you, he'll show you but probably won't be able to tell you. Sometimes they just don't know how to express it.

Some guys are shy because they dont know what the response will be and are scared they will get turned down. If the guy is like that then you will probably have to make the first move. I had the same problem, and it turned out way better than i could of imagined.

We don't like getting turned down........go figures. The same reason for girls. If you want a guy to ask you out first you must know if he likes you or not. If he does hint to him you might be interested but play a hard to get. At some point he will ask you out. We always want what we can't have. Hope this helps.

Some guys are shy, some girls are shy...some people aren't shy but hesitate to express their feelings because they've been hurt before...
If someone really digs you, they'll find a way to let you know at some point...shy or not...

Well i don't do it because i don't want to offend any gurl, or put her in a situation where she has to say no and feels unconfortable. Its much easier if the gurl talks to the guy first and gives a little hint then it becomes alot easier

They not shy they just got alot of pride and ego going on so they just take it easy cos they cant stand rejection!!!
They just need time and convincing. If you interested dont hide your feelings esp if you know he feels the same way.
Good Luck!!!

Its not just fear of rejection. It's more of fear of the unknown. Bow will the girl react? Will she laugh at him? Will she tell all her friends about it?
There are a lot to worry about, so girls it would help to let a guy feel that he can be open about it. Who know's, he might be teh one for you?

I think some guys fear rejection so much, that they don't want to risk a girl giving them a response that could hurt their feelings or shatter their confidence
