Yes, but not nearly enough info here.
What if ant anti-virus software are you using?
What is the name of the virus (if known)?
What is name and location of the infected file?

AVG is a loose antivirus I genuinely have seen it in antivirus attempt comments evaluating particularly a lot each and every prevalent antivirus in a particular type of trojans and were given ninety+% even as different prevalent finished products didnt even get 80% I also imagine kaspersky has a loose on-line antivirus scanner (which became on the appropriate on previous years)

I got one and I couldn't shake it no matter what I did. You may just have to cough up the $20 to download the full version of mcAfee's virus scan or the equivalent. The free programs will clean up the mess, but don't seem to be able to clean up the root of the problem, so you'll be deleting malicious programs until you pay for the good stuff.

Yup - download
AVG - the free virus killer
Zonealarm - the free firewall
Spybot Search and Destroy - adware killer
Lavasoft Adaware - ditto
They're all free and they should clear out anything you've caught and prevent you getting it again.

Start with AD-Aware SE.
Make sure you learn how to update it and do it weekly.
http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5
I use Ad Aware about once a week, other than that, I use Yahoo Anti-Spy every day.
