Certainly, especially if I felt that my life or the lives of people I loved were being directly threatened. I don't think that would be a problem for me at all. Of course, I'm married to a Marine and a fourth generation Marine Corps brat, so I might not be a typical case. :)

I imagine that there are scenarios that would make most people kill another human being.
A lot of people will say, "Oh no, I know myself and I could never harm another human being." Yeah, that's easy to say with your behind seated in front of your computer.
I would say that there are scenarios under which each individual would kill.
Actually, spending about 30 minutes in the 'Religion & Spirituality' section of Yahoo Answers can turn most people into killers.

I probably could, but only to save the life of another, and only as an absolute last resort. An act of defense, with no other feasable alternatives, is the only justification for deliberately taking another person's life.
Even if I felt I was justified in doing so, I'm sure I would feel crummy afterwards.

It depends on the situation. If I feel as though my life is being threatened, I would definitely respond with lethal force. But killing someone over something trivial? Nope... only pu$$ies use guns when fists would suffice. Nevertheless, I am a strong advocate of second amendment rights and will do whatever is necessary to protect myself and my loved ones.

I think every one of us has the potential to kill another human being... it just depends on what will trigger such a violent reaction. For me, I think it would be if somebody harmed my daughter or husband - obviously not just knocking them over... it would be something like rape or murder. Also if somebody threatens my life or that of my family. I think I would be able to kill. (You really made me go to my "dark side" with that question)

hey hun....i don't have the right to take some one elses life no matter what the situation but i do have tha right to self defince..if you think about it there really is no reason to kill some one...theres just to many ways to stop them from hurting you...if it's a gun you get it away from them if possible and worse comes to worse shoot them in the foot so they can't go after ya...i garuntee if you take out a leg or arm (somethin that wont kill them but keep them in there place) then they will focus more on that then goin' after ya....love daisy

I cannot even kill bugs, I am so overly sensitive I cannot eat animals, definitely not. But the thing is...we'll never really know until it comes down to it.

If I had to.
If it came down to it, then yes.
Wow, this is deep.
The optimum word here is "it"..
What is the "it" for all of us that could make us kill?

Yes, but I wouldn't need to " Justify " it in the name of some greater good. Like eating a grape, I killed it..and got over it. P.S. I havent had to, and hope never have to do it..

No. I couldn't. I would rather die than kill someone. I couldn't live with the guilt every single second of the day knowing that I killed someone.
