I had two Super Chunk babies!! My older son (2 1/2 now) has thinned out considerably...I think he's about 35 pounds. Still big for his age, but he's more muscle than fat now. :(
My younger son (13 months) is about 28 pounds. He's starting to walk, so I'm waiting for him to lose his fat. It's so sad!!!
And for the parents who said your baby is fat or to put him on a diet: It's physically IMPOSSIBLE for an infant to be obese. Babies are supposed to be chunky with fat arms and legs. When they start becoming mobile (crawling, then walking) the weight drops off. Sorry your babies are scrawny little runts. Maybe you should feed them better!

That is chubby! My neice is getting chubby too, I think she wieghs around 23 or so, at 9 months.
My son is about 6 1/2 months and he weighs just under 15. His pediatrician says that he's in the 20th percentile, so most babies weight much more than him.

I had one... and she is 7 1/2 years and she still is.... she was born at 7 lbs and from then on she gained ... she was always tall too... at 4 months she was 18 lbs. and she was 26 at 9 months.. everyone always said she would walk it off etc.. she just got taller ... and has since lost some but is still solid.. she has always been off the charts.. and the drs were fine with it..
I do believe the heavier they are the harder it is for them to accomplish what others do their age that are average... even though my daughter walked before 11 months and was able to sit up at 5 months... it took her longer to crawl and to get her hands to manipulate things since she was heavier... I know it isn't healthy either..

I didn't have any really chubby babies ,but I had a friend who does . I think it is cute to some extent ,but it is extremely unhealthy for the baby. And alot of mothers don't try to curb their kids eating because they think its cute ,but you're compromising your child's health!

my son was chubby, but started to loose his baby fat when he was walking on a regular basis. now he's 14, eats like a pig 24/7, and doesn't gain an ounce of weight.
