ummm....because the wealth is so unevely distributed. while many people have great ideas and derserve to earn their money (bill gates) many just inherit it, or gain it through drugs trade or whatever. the problems of society as a whole are because of the current economic issues. also, the mega rich like to keep it that way, and keep down the poorer people, so there can't be an even distribution. so basically your main reason is : greed

Please further define your question. Are you interested in those central command economies, or maybe those economies which operate within a bribe system, or one of the several variations on an economic theme of socialism, or possibly a capitalistic free enterprise system? You might also provide a foundation of what you consider to be unfair.

As long as the World has people in poverty who work harder, longer, and for less than standard of living wages, there will be uneasiness among people and nations.
As long as the rich continue to pass down old wealth (earned by using slaves) to each generation of kin, there will be no money going back into our economy to benefit the otherwise hopeless poverty stricken masses.

because the wealthy use their wealth to influence governmental policies to their advantage to exploit the lower classes.
Also, by having one very powerful country with unparalleled military, the rich need only use their wealth to influence the policies of that one country, which then in turn uses its military to coerce/force all the other countries (i.e., the other 95% of the world population) to create and follow the policies that it dictates.

The world owes banks more money than has ever existed.
The banks counterfeit money legally. Thank you federal reserve, compound interest and faulty logic based loans.
