I had it in August of 2003. They did it through my belly-button. I was off work the day of the surgery and then the next day. It was out patient so I never stayed overnight at the hospital. Everything was fine after that. I think I remember not being able to lift any heavier than 10 pounds for about two weeks. Other than, it went very smoothly and it sure is nice not having to worry about getting pregnant!

i had to wait a year after my last child, because here you have to be 21 with 2 or more children.
it hurt like hell afterwards. very painful, and the anestisia is horrible. i recommend doing it as soon as the baby comes out if you are expecting. if you're not pregnant, you'll need at least 3-4 days b4 feeling halfway normal. it took me 2 weeks b4 i was normal again. and make sure that you don't really want anymore kids, i know ppl that have had it reversed to get pregnant, and never has yet. be wise in your decision making. and if you're married, i heard that a vesectomy is better and less painful for the men!

Tenderness from the laproscropic sites, and a tenderness in the lower pelvic area from the doc moving things around etc. They have to fill your abdomen with a gas to allow for better visual and more room to move the surgical tools around so you may feel a bit bloated after as well. General anesthetic can make you feel like you ran into a brick wall for about 1-2 days after too.

I had it done after the C-section birth of my son in 2002. I didn't have any adverse effects but I am glad I did it cause I had no plans on having anymore children. I cherish the two sons that I have and am happy. I would'nt do it if you are under the age of 35 cause you may change your mind and want to have another child.

I had it done Sept. 2005 . Only side effects were soreness and cramping. I was a little sad after just to know its so final, but that was the point I guess. Just dont let anybody talk you into it.

FIRST OF ALL IS NOT TUBAL LIGATION LIKE THEY SAY. THE SURGEON ACTUALLY CUTS OFF THE TUBES. HE NEVER LIGATES. THE PROCEDURE IS REVERSIBLE ONLY UP TO 8 YEARS.

Stomach discomfort in general = cramping. Is dependent what style of system you are watching at. Great to talk to your health practitioner - I found out even after doing all my homework, my physician quite didn't want to participate in the approach on me.

ive had my tubes tied for 10 years. the effects right after is very nil. but later, sometimes i would get cramps by my fallopian tubes. ive had cysts on my tubes also, that burst and it hurts. other than that its ok. but, would i do it again? no, its not worth it. thats just me thought, everyone is different.

I had it done about 5 years ago. I had no side effects, other than being a little tired afterwards.
