I work with this girl Betty she's 35 and I'm 20 but i'm above her cause i'm her shift supervisor. She's really nice to me she takes me to work in the morning and i give her 25 dollers a week (cause we dont have two car's right now and my bf needs the car cause we work different work scheduals) well she takes me to work everyday 5 days a week which isnt out of the way its just right down the road from her house. Well she's always gripping about everyone we work with and always saying bad stuff about everyone and i usually just blow it off or laugh it off you know? cause everyone has bad bad days and thats understandable. we all do. Well i was off work today and one of the other girls from work called me and told me that *Betty* was up there bad mouthing me to everyone! She even told me that *Betty* had went to our district manager and told him i was lazy at work and didnt do anything. She had to do everything.

Betty sounds like alot of people I know. I left one office and there were 3 just like her. But honestly.. I wouldnt worry about it too much. I know you are hurt and angry etc... but if the people you work with have any brain at all.. they can see right thru her. Usually there is one in every crowd.. The one who talks about everyone and everyone knows it and everyone doesnt pay any attention to her. If I were you.. I think I would find me another way to work instead of depending on her. Then I would make darn sure you dont talk to her or anyone else about nobody there. I personally think she is jealous of you and is trying to make you look bad. If you just "keep your nose clean" by playing by the rules and staying pretty much to yourself.. then you have nothing to worry about. However being anywhere around Betty is not a good idea. She is trouble looking to cause/stir up trouble at the expense of anyone who falls prey into her wicked web. Good Luck.

I'm also a supervisor and have found that some people are just plain complainers! They are not happy unless they complain about everyone in the world! You are a supervisor, and need to confront her about this and any others she "rags" on. I'm sure gossip must be against company policy, therefore grounds for disipline! I had to do this once and you know what problem solved! And when the time came for a layoff, guess who was the first to go! It not only affects you, but if you ask others they hate it too i'm sure. Good Luck

I suggest you find another ride to work. You are in a position where you should not get involved with Bettys unprofessional manner. Betty to me sounds like the person that likes drama, she gets off by getting staff against one other. People like that lose all respect from me.

Take the bus, and be the SUPERVISOR. Work cliques are a hugh headache as it is, and besides, if she stabs you in the back like this, now, she'll dog you worse. Old saying: 'with friends like that, who needs enemies'

well, i suggest u confront her about it. dont be rude or anything like that, butlet her know you've been hearing things that you don't respect or appreciate. don't just let it roll off, but be as peaceful as possible. i would say to stop accepting rides from her, because that's just gonna give her more to say about you.

Why don't you fire her, then the only job she will have is driving you to work for 25 dollars a week.

sit down and talk to her. let her know what you are feeling. tell her what you really want from her. she should understand. tell her everything that you want to tell her and then she knows where yu stand. dont let her walk over you like that. she has a problem with you and just cant say it to your face. sit down and talk and things will sort themselves out.

Well i would probably ask her about it when you guys have a chance and can talk privately, then you can find out whats going on and can talk about it if there is any problems.
