i used to have aim instant messanger, but it kept causing problems on my notebook. my friends keep telling me i should get the program again. does any1 noe what i should do to fix it?

Go away from AIM if you can and use yahoo Messenger. Aol IM is so exploited every day it is just bad plus their software causes problems all the time.

I uninstalled AIM also because it downloads tons of extra things when you install it

Delete it from your system and then reinstall it.
I do agree with the others...Yahoo! is sooo much nicer.
You should see if your friends use it too.

Delete the one you already got and try redownloaing from aim.com
