I saw on the news that there would be a satellite visible in the Charlotte sky at 9:13 this evening. I saw it and everything right on time. Does anyone know any details about what kind of satellite it was or where on the web it is mentioned?

There are many satellites that are visible every night of the week. When it is clear outside, look from south to north for a bright object that looks like a star. It will be moving very fast across the sky.

That's *the* web site for finding info about satellites that can be seen from any particular location, at any particular time. Enter your location and the time you saw the satellite, and it should be able to tell you what the satellite was.
