I just read an article that said more people are cheating now through the internet than through conventional methods.
It was called "emotional cheating" and the professional in the article said that "emotional cheating" was actually worse than IRL cheating.
Go figure.
I think he would mind. Would you care if he had a girlfriend via internet?

My wife used to do this kind of stuff to me. I would get SO mad, then she'd laugh it off and say, "I just wanted to see what you would do/say".

Before too long, I said, "If you do that one more time, I'm leaving you. Don't EVER mess around with me like this again!"

She realized it hurt me too much and has not done it since.

I think too many people think it's all just a game. Next thing they know they're sitting alone and wonder where all the "good ones" are.

i wouldn't come up with a story like that. What are you trying to get out of that? That's childish and then when you guys argue and you say it was a joke he will be upset and not believe you. You can really kill someones trust like that. Think before you do that seriously

Most likely yes, but it depends how old you are,and how secure the too of you are in your relationship. There are to many variables without knowing more about you and him.Hope everything works out ok.

oh my gawd i did that once... I didn't even get caught because i never met my online BF.... I eventually grew bored of my online BF and never emailed back plus my real life BF was becoming serious....

... when I think about it... I suppose I was bored and enjoyed the thrill off being sneaky without doing anything really really wrong...... right?

Good luck :)

he shouldn't mind as internet dating is pretty harmless because you're covered with distance.
Besides, it's fun and and your real identity is preserved.
