this woman marries and her husband gets sick and unfortunately passes away, There is a home involved and a son from previous marriage who lives with his mother and stepdad, They are harrasing this girl to sell the house for half the money, Can they force her to sell when she has no where to go and is out of work on disability? Thank you.

It would depend on the marriage laws in the state
If she gets all her husbands things or if she has to share with the minor child..

If her name is on the house than half is hers and half of the other half is her's.. and maybe one fourth is the childs..

It also depends on the will but if that goes against marriage laws then that can be void too...

If there is a will then it determines how the house is sold.If the house was left to her ,they can not do anything. If no will they have to wait on the probate court . That usually takes 1 or11/2 years, Tell her good luck.
