WHY DO WOMEN BUY FAKE DESIGNER PURSES? OR ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER? THERE ARE ALOT OF WOMEN @ MY JOB THAT BUY THEM ALL THE TIME, SOME ACT LIKE THEY ARE REAL WHILE SOME ADMIT THEY ARE FAKE. I KNOW A FEW OF THEM DRIVE ALL THE WAY TO NY FROM OHIO TO BUY THEM!!!! WHAT SENSE DOES THAT MAKE??? OH WAIT, THEY WANT TO PRETEND THEY HAVE $$$ , BUT IN ACTUALITY THEY CANT AFFORD THEM. SO I SAY GO TO FRICKEN WAL-MART & BUY A $30 PURSE & STOP CARRYING THAT GARBAGE, WANNA BE DESIGNER BAG AROUND! THE PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO PAY FOR THE REAL THING, CAN TELL YOURS IS FAKE & YES WE ARE LAUGHING AT YOU! PLUS...ITS A FEDERAL OFFENSE & IT SUPPORTS TERRORISM!

IM 25 I MAKE $35,000 A YEAR, IM SINGLE & I HAVE NO KIDS! THATS HOW I CAN AFFORD THEM. IM NOT HATING ON ANYONE, I JUST DONT APPRECIATE SOMEONE ASSUMING MINE IS FAKE B/C EVERYONE ELSE WHO WORKS IN MY DEPARTMENT HAS FAKE ONES. AND IT SUPPORTS TERRORISM B/C OF WHERE THEY ARE BEING MADE & WHO IS MAKING THEM. I DONT CONSTANTLY THINK OR WORRY ABOUT IT, BUT IM HOME & IM BORED SO I FIGURED ID ASK. I don't do fake.
I don't know why other women do, I think it's very low class, and you can spot a fake a mile away, so what's the point in pretending.

The reason why people buy 'fakes' is because they want to have something 'special'. I think it is a bit ridiculous to drive that far, but why not spend almost the same amount on a 'fake', which is basically a regular purse only a replica of a 'high fashion ' one instead of a crappy Wal-mart one? Another thing, how in heavens name is that terrorism? WTF? If you think that is bad...well you can just stay inside the house on eBay for the rest of your life, because that is the least of your worries. It's really rude to bash people for not being able to buy the real thing, its joke, what do you take daddy's credit card out for a test run? Grow up, and find better questions to ask.

I used to buy knock off's, but not anymore. I have to say that I totally agree with you. The fakes are so not worth the money...and you can totally tell the diff from fake vs. real! Oh well...some people can't afford the real stuff. As long as they don't act like they have the real thing...that's just wrong!

if you work in the airline industry, we have a saying..."Canal Street" and if you have a real one, people think its fake anyway, and by the way, who really cares...if you had no hair for whatever reason, and wore a wig, would you say its real...do you ever wear those fake ponytails and extentions...
its having certian material things that make people feel part of...why would you spend so much time on what other people are doing...maybe there is something you do that people dont like...
i just always say to keep your side of the street clean,
whatever else is going on, if i dont like it, i cant change it, so i forget about it and move on,
theres so many other things to obsess over...

I don't all my purses are real and I have alot. I have a huge walk- in closet full of them .......I don't buy them in the streets i buy them in the actual store......but people buy fake ones bcuz they're cheaper & people who are really stupid will beleive them....like my cousin she went to this country and bought like a bunch of fake Louis Vuitton purses and told like all her friends that they were real and I looked at it it was soooo FAKE!!!! & she was so humiliated. But yea cuz people are so freakin desperate to get one and i hate the fact when they brag about it i have been like around designer purses since i was 5 and right now I'm 17 ...and i surely know what's fake or not.....but yea i agree with you!!!!!!!!

people buy them because they want to be part of the fashion trend without the prices. i know you can tell a real one from a fake, but does the real one adorn your beauty more than a fake one? i personally think girls should spend their money on clothes or dresses or something that makes them look pretty instead of a purse that makes them look rich

well i buy designer bags like coach and d&b and also louy vuittion there is nothing rong with buying fake purses if you want to go head and if ur that worried about i bet ur just jelous!
