Well, I can't tell you what to do, but if you are in love with him and he is in love with you then by all means go for it! My husband and I are 20 years apart! And I have known many people to have great age differences! Maybe this is actually a good thing, because he is not 18 any more and he could have gotten all that running around out of his system, so he will be faithful, older is not always the worst choice! Good luck and God bless! Hope this helps you!

You are 18 and the somebody is 31 that's a big age difference but you are not a minor no more so its really up two the both of you to decide that question.

I'd have to ask why a man in his 30's is interested in someone who has barely left childhood. There's no law saying you cannot date, but with that many years between you, and you just stepping into adulthood, figuring out where your life might go, and him probably done with college and established in his career (or he's had time to do that), you're on different pages in life...
Such a gap at the ages you two are, doesn't bode well for anything long term...but if you want to play with an older guy for a while, and he wants to play with you...no harm done...enjoy!

you mean you want to date someone 31 years old and yesterday you were only 14,16, now 18, someone who's been around when this world is so full of good quality single men more your age? i sure would take a step back and think through a decision that determine the rest of your life.sounds to me that you have not dated much.this day and age, i would gladly pay for a back ground check to know whom your are opening up to.

Well who is to say? You are 18, you are an adult, one assumes that you can make choices about your own life. However given that you are asking advice on this matter, i would question your own feelings toward dating someone 13 yrs older. If you were really into this then you wouldn't care what society thinks. If you want to do it....go ahead....only you can make yourself happy. And if you don't do it then you'll never know......s/he could be the one. goood luck!!!

It might be an interesting social experiment, as for a realistic relationship - no. Maybe 13 years would be fine if you were significantly older. Check it out and have fun, you will know the answer to your question soon.

18 and 31 is a bit off, may be if you were 20 and him 31 would have been perfect, but remember age aint nothing but numbers so if you connect with him, ride on gal!

If its someone that u feel for and u know hes feelin u then age doesn't matter. Isn't it hard enough already tryin to figure out and to know when someone is truly all about u to add another factor into it. As long as your ok with it and he is I say go for it. Good luck!

I wouldn't go past 2 years younger and 2 years older. You can't have sex with a 13 year old, you'll be considered a pedofile and also he should be with girls more his age and you should be with guys your age. It would also seem like you're desperate.
