"KZLA-FM (93.9) - the last commercial country station in Los Angeles - has ditched its spurs and slipped on its dancing shoes.
The station's new format, which started without notice to listeners on Thursday, is called Movin' 93.9, featuring dance-pop by the likes of Beyoncé, Gwen Stefani, Usher, Jennifer Lopez, Black Eyed Peas, Madonna, Janet Jackson and Gnarls Barkley."

It seems Aliens came and took over the station that was America's number one country station. How can anyone let such a thing happen? It is like taking a bite out of the American history since Country music is America's music. I guess somebody assumed that we don't need that part of our heritage in LA. Well in Orange Country we do need it. Hopefully Orange Country will come to the rescue and adopt KZLA and bring it back for the gazillion listeners who are devasted by the loss of country music!!!

KZLA is no longer on the radio, soon it will be streaming on the computer and on DH radio. Corporate came in yesterday and had a meeting to tell everyone of the change. No one knew, not even the DJ's. So, now here in L.A. we have no country radio station. Pretty sucky!
