I have a 17 month old, my first, and i gotta tell you, they are quick to point out who the boss is. I think a baby closing their mouth is more powerful than an alligator getting a grip on your leg. just relax, the baby will eat when it wants to eat whatever solid you are feeding it. it always takes a couple of times ( around 30 or so ) tee-hee, for your baby to eat some foods, even if last week he loved them this week could be a different story. save your energy, believe me...you're gonna need it for the months ahead.
good luck

she is probably wanting to control what she eats, or wants to feed herself, and she realizes that it gets a rise out of you. The best way to handle it is to accept her decision not to eat, and go about what you're doing. Leave her there with you while you're eating your food, and eventually she'll ask for a bite. SHe may still play the ask and reject game, but don't get mad, just listen to her cues that she's not interested. She needs to learn that when she's full, you'll listen and she can stop eating, even if it's for a minute or two. This is a good eating habit and will help her to learn self control later on in life, rather than eating every scrap of food on her plate even if she's about to burst. Overeating is a huge problem with kids, and society is making small changes to encourage kids to listen to their own bodies clues, and many studies show that good eating habits start as babies.
Good luck.

The try waiting for her to get really hungry. If you are feeding her when she is a bit full, she might be telling you she doesn't want anymore. Or try chaging what you are givinng her. Babies love fruit, or even give her a piece to hold onto like an apple and she will start ggetting use to eating again. Or go back and give her meusli.

yes thats normal. it happens coz after a while she gets fed up of the food coz theres no good taste in it. no salt or sugar. but for gods sake dont add salt in to ur babys food coz its bad for her health. that damages her kidneys and brain development.
but you can try something like reading a story or let her suck the spoon like a soother or some distractions like take her to the garden and show birds while feeding so that she wont feel that shes eating.
and make sure you cheer her up after she finishes the meal!!!!

Don't worry about it. Kids don't really need solid food for the first year, anyhow.
I would advise you to follow your baby's lead and let them have solid food when they want it or not.

Maybe she wants to do it herself. Mine child preferred to feed herself. After she got a few of her own bites, I could get a few in.

It could be she wants something different then what you are feeding her. Try varieties or try something fun like the "airplane spoon" or the "choo-choo train".
