What do you mean by "good"? There are so many martial arts styles and they are all good. That's why there are so many.
"Good", as far as easy to learn? They all require lots of practice and dedication.
"Good" for self-defense? They all teach self-defense, in fact, some of the tactics overlap from art to art because there are only so many ways to move the human body and only so many ways to injure or kill an opponent.
"Good" as far as cost? Check around your area and see what different schools cost.
"Good" in that they promote you quickly? Is quick promotion to black belt meaningful if your techniques are sloppy and unskilled?
Some are suited more to certain body types - for example, Tae Kwon Do and Karate are suited to people who are lean and flexible. Jiu-jitsu and Hapkido are suited to people who maybe aren't so big and don't have flexibility for high kicks.
All martial arts teach self-defense, discipline, focus, and using your opponent's energy against him.

Better than Tae Kwon Do.
LOL
Just depends on what you want to learn. If you have choices you should observe and learn about the different styles available to you and then decide.
Personally I think Akido is more interesting than either of those.

My son has taken American Kenpo for the last year or so. Ive noticed a big difference in his behavior, hes more disciplined.. I think the style is well suited for any body style. The self defense is practical yet effective. I'd highly recommend it.

Better than TKD IMO. Kenpo is more balanced between kicking and punching. TKD is more kicking.
