tips on how to make a company logo?

we will be starting to open a trading business ( fuel and oil), i just want to make a company logo that is creative and would best fit in our company.

Black and White keeps down on printing costs as well as prints out in faxes and copy machines.

Oil Rigs are universally known for natural oil and their products.
