I think the fact that 10,120,860 people live in Michigan and only 935,670 people live in Montana should tell you something. Michigan's population is 10.8 times larger than Montana's for many reasons.

Lived in Montana for three and a half years. Moved out three years ago. Hated it, don't miss it, never want to go back. Traveled all over the state with my job. Never did find any place I just loved except Glacier National Park.

Lived in Helena, MT for 7 years and didnt like it much. I wouldnt say I hated it, but I would never move back there. Some positives: Great weather, hunting, fishing, and camping. The negatives: Unfriendly people, nothing to do for entertainment (besides the camping and fishing), terrible shopping, and limited job opportunities. You really have to be an outdoors person to live in Montana.
