there's this song i really like... i thought it was called 8 days for some unknown reason... i've only heard it twice... i'm pretty sure it's new, but it may not be... that's all i know... a guy playing a guitar is playing it and they play it on pop stations...

If it is the song the first answerer mentioned, then the artist is NOT Jay Leno (although he DOES look similiar) it's Taylor Hicks, winner of last season's American Idol.
