If we never assumed, we'd never be able to do things, because nothing would exist to us.
For instance. You can drink a soda, but if you never make the assumption that the soda is in front of you, and that you can pick it up with your hand, and you can drink it, you can't do it.
"The earth is round" is an assumption. An assumption can exist for a nanosecond, and then it can be gone, like "there's a fly flying in my face," it only exists for that split second, but if you want to smack the fly, you have to assume the fly is there.
You have to make assumptions. What the lesson is trying to tell us, is things aren't always what they seem, etc.
Hope this helps.

My husband always says it makes an **s out of u and me. But really make sure you know for certain all the information you need and never ever assume anything.

because you never know if you are wrong or right. It's all chance, and if you want to risk it, then go ahead. The rhyme is...never mind. *ahem* yeh so if you have "evidence" that you believe, then go ahead 'n assume. But don't assume something/someone you haven't met.

because when you assume you may have the wrong information, and in many situations with people assume things people end up getting hurt by unnecessary **** , you should always get the facts then approach the topic accordingly

You can assume, but don't take it as the truth. Understand that assumption is mere speculation or probable human perception. The truth will show itself out of darkness, or what we can't see or know.

Because it will only disappoint you. That is why you should never assume.

You're only gonna learn that lesson yourself. Trust me....all the advice about runnin' your mouth before you know the facts won't help.

Because when you "assume" you make an "***" out of "u" and "me". Never ***-U-ME.
